Higher Education has now become more accessible to Consolanians as 29 recipients of the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) converged at the College of Medicine Audio-Visual room on May 7 to receive their grants for the second semester.

The TES is one of the programs of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) which provides scholarship grants to students enrolled in public and private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

The recipients from LCUP went through CHED’s rigorous selection process and would receive an amount of 60 thousand pesos in educational assistance per school year.

Ms. Janet Valdez, Administrative Officer to the EVP/VPAA, explained the details of the scholarship during the meeting with the scholars. Ms. Marissa Ventura, Vice-President for Finance, handed out the grants to each student-recipient.

Likewise present was Ms. Rosalyn Galvez, Student Affairs and Services Director, who willingly answered the queries of the students.

Dr. Alvin Nuqui, concurrent EVP/VPAA, and Sr. Editha Zerna, OSA, Ph.D., University President, also attended the event.
